Summary/objective


As a Senior BlackLine Consultant, you will play a role in helping clients improve their financial processes, systems, and strategies to enhance efficiency. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with project team members and clients to analyze the status of current financial operations, identify areas for improvement, and develop & implement strategies and solutions to drive transformation and achieve objectives. In this role, you will also provide guidance and mentorship to consultant team members.


Essential functions


Project Objectives:

  • Accountable for individual compliance with administrative responsibilities
  • Executes sales support tasks as assigned including proof of concepts, whitepapers, case studies, and demos
  • Identifies cross selling and new service offering opportunities and communicates them to appropriate drivers

Engagement Tasks:

  • Gathers and documents business requirements, configuration designs, test plans/results, and any other deliverable required by the project as determined by management
  • Adheres to leading practices in all deliverables
  • Establishes strong relationships with clients
  • Manages segments of projects independently while being involved in multiple projects
  • Keeps project team informed regarding the status of assigned responsibilities including performing project plan maintenance to a task level
  • Responds to all internal and clients with a sense of urgency, escalating matters or managing up as necessary
  • Achieves firm, team, and organization metrics (Ex. utilization and realization)

Work Quality:

  • Consistently produces work of the utmost quality

Supervisory responsibilities

  • None

Work environment

  • There is an expectation to spend time with the client in accordance with the client's needs
  • Time may be spent in both the Firm's office environment and/or the client premises where conditions may vary
  • The volume and predictability of work may vary with client demands; may be subject to on-call requests with short notice and work hours exceeding 40 per week

Physical demands

  • Physical demands include the ability to transport necessary equipment between client sites; this requires the ability to lift issued equipment such as laptops, backpacks, keyboards, note-taking materials, bending or standing as necessary

Travel required

  • Travel may be frequent and unpredictable, depending upon client's needs

Required education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  • 2 - 5 years of experience since undergraduate degree or 0 - 3 years of experience
  • Proficient in using office software and tools, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote)
