Job Title: Senior Construction Manager - Data Center Projects
Location: Opportunties in both North Virginia and DFW TX
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead the development and construction of large-scale data center projects in North Virginia and Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex, fast-paced data center construction projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality, cost-effective, and timely results. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction, ensuring adherence to safety standards, regulatory compliance, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the construction process for large-scale data center projects across both North Virginia and Dallas locations.
Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Work closely with project teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders, to ensure project requirements are met.
Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring quality control and adherence to safety protocols.
Monitor and manage project risks, proactively addressing issues and resolving problems as they arise.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, assess quality, and ensure safety compliance.
Maintain strong communication with all project stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns promptly.
Develop and enforce construction schedules, ensuring that milestones are achieved according to project timelines.
Ensure that all projects comply with local building codes, environmental regulations, and company policies.
Support contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and adherence to contractual obligations.
Implement best practices in construction management to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the overall project outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on large-scale data center projects or mission-critical facilities.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in both North Virginia and Dallas locations.
Strong knowledge of data center construction processes, MEP systems, and associated technologies.
Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards related to data centers.
Exceptional project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage large teams and complex projects.
Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate and guide diverse teams to success.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with all levels of stakeholders.
Experience working with contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders in a collaborative environment.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is a plus.
Willingness to travel between North Virginia and Dallas as required.
