Position Summary MAG is seeking a Congressional Support Analyst to provide support in legislative systems management and oversight for a government customer. This role involves working directly with senior executives and stakeholders to address congressional inquiries, coordinate legislative actions, and support the F-35 program's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and experience in legislative management within the Department of Defense (DoD). This role requires exceptional communication skills, independent work ethic, and experience supporting key government staff and senior leaders in Department of Defense (DoD) Headquarters. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: Provide legislative and congressional support, including drafting, reviewing, and editing responses to congressional inquiries, reports, and communications. Manage and oversee legislative systems and ensure timely processing of all congressional actions in compliance with DoD policies and protocols. Track, analyze, and report on legislative activities and developments that could impact the F-35 program. Support senior executives by preparing briefing materials, reports, and presentations for congressional engagements and hearings. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of legislative priorities and accurate communication of program objectives. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with congressional offices, government agencies, and industry partners. Identify potential legislative risks or opportunities and provide recommendations for strategic actions. Maintain and manage documentation related to legislative activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to security protocols. Perform additional duties as assigned to support F-35 JPO priorities. Requirements Experience Must have (10) years of relevant experience, with a minimum of four (4) years involving legislative systems management within the DoD. Strong knowledge of DoD policies, legislative processes, and protocols. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Excel. Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to produce executive-level documents and reports. Excellent problem identification and resolution skills, initiative, and flexibility. Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively with senior executives and stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. Familiarity with handling classified material in compliance with DoD security requirements. Experience supporting high-level leadership under the authority, direction, and control of a General Officer, Flag Officer, or Senior Executive Service (SES) member. Education: Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution. Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance (or eligibility to obtain Secret Clearance within a prescribed timeframe) Preferred Skills: Familiarity with F-35 JPO and program operations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for fostering relationships with stakeholders and government representatives. Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills in high-stakes program environments. Experience supporting congressional engagements, hearings, or legislative priorities in the DoD. Familiarity with the mission, objectives, and priorities of the F-35 JPO. The projected compensation range for this position is $150k - $200k (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
