We are seeking a talented Senior Configuration Management Specialist dedicated to creating responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions.
The Senior Configuration Management Specialist plays a crucial role in managing product design changes and their systemic implications. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring configuration identification through thorough review of design release documents for completeness and proper authorization.
- Independently developing solutions to complex technical issues affecting multiple disciplines.
- Providing project support in creating and reviewing content for CDRLs, SDRLs, item records, change records, and other components within a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
- Executing Configuration and Data Management processes to align with company policies and industry standards.
- Drafting and maintaining critical documentation such as CM corporate policies, Configuration Management plans, and various work instructions.
- Overseeing CM team members in developing effective solution designs and processes.
- Collaborating closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality teams, customers, and external partners to support products throughout their lifecycle.
This role requires on-site presence for a minimum of 4 days per week.
Basic Qualifications: - A four-year degree in a relevant field and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 15 years of applicable experience in configuration and data management.
- Must reside or be willing to relocate to the Colorado Springs area.
- Extensive knowledge of configuration change management principles, with a focus on industry standards.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, software, and related CM practices, including familiarity with SAE EIA-649, ASME Y14, ISO 9001, and MIL standards.
- Minimum of five years of experience using PLM tools such as Agile PLM, Oracle Agile, or others.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding bills of materials, technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, including CREO and Solidworks.
- Familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Adobe PDF editing software.
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to engage with multidisciplinary teams and customers.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
Other Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with experience and/or knowledge of NDIA CDM, CMII, or other relevant Configuration Management/Data Management certifications.
Pay Range: Pay Range: $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
