ARS is seeking an experienced Senior Configuration/Data Manager to establish and maintain product configuration integrity throughout the lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in configuration management, with at least 5 years in Department of Defense settings. This role requires expertise in DoD configuration management processes, CCB operations, and data management systems to support mission-critical programs. Why Work with us? Responsibilities include: Apply configuration management fundamentals to maintain product performance, functional, and physical attributes in alignment with requirements and operational information; Analyze impacts of configuration management change processes on lifecycle sustainment
Develop and manage Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) requirements
Participate in government reviews, meetings, and working groups to resolve complex configuration management issues
Develop Configuration Control Board (CCB) charters and support CCB execution
Review program specifications for hardware and software to ensure proper format, content, and compliance with program requirements and standards
Process requests for nomenclature and Computer Program Identification Numbers (CPINs)
Support configuration control functions, including processing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Requests for Deviation/Waiver, and Deficiency Reports (DRs)
Plan and implement Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs)
Maintain configuration status accounting databases and records
Assist with data management tasks, including selection of Data Item Descriptions (DIDs) and preparation of data management forms
Support organization and issuance of data calls for weapons systems/subsystems
Prepare and maintain CDRLs for inclusion in Request for Proposals (RFPs) and contracts
Support Deficiency Reporting functions using systems like Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS)
Develop and manage deficiency reporting/material improvement project review board processes
Generate configuration management, data management, and risk management processes and plans
Support design reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), interface control meetings, and other technical reviews
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements: Must be a US citizen
Active Secret security clearance
GED plus 10+ years of experience in configuration management, with 5+ years in DoD settings
Thorough understanding of DoD configuration management processes and standards
Experience with configuration management databases and tools
Knowledge of data rights clauses and distribution statements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent documentation and communication abilities
