Position Summary
Odyssey Systems is seeking an experienced
Senior Configuration and Data Manager to provide configuration management (CM), data management (DM), quality assurance (QA), program/project (PP), requirements analysis (RA), risk management (RM), and software engineering (SE) support for the HNA Program at Hanscom AFB. The successful candidate will assist in the configuration control and data integrity of systems, ensuring compliance with all program and DoD standards. The role involves managing and auditing software and hardware baselines, facilitating Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), and maintaining government technical baselines through comprehensive CM/DM processes.
Responsibilities
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.
Duties include, but not limited to: Develop, implement, and maintain configuration and data management plans, ensuring traceability and baseline integrity across program lifecycles. - Manage configuration of software, engineering documents, design drawings, changes, and notices.
- Convene, manage, and document technical and configuration review boards (CCBs, TRBs, DRRBs).
- Conduct and support audits such as Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) and Functional Configuration Audits (FCA).
- Review, analyze, and track Contractor CDRL deliveries and ensure conformance with requirements.
- Support the government with change control processes and ensure the configuration integrity of hardware/software baselines.
- Track and process change requests (CRs), discrepancy reports (DRs), and problem reports (PRs).
- Maintain and audit the CM library, software repositories, and licensing documentation.
- Oversee IT system configurations and ensure compliance with DoD directives, including DoDI 5230.24 and DFARS clauses.
- Participate in technical interchange meetings (TIMs), preliminary and critical design reviews (PDR/CDR), and program milestone events.
- Monitor contractor compliance with CM standards and provide QA checks on deliverables and processes.
- Develop and maintain distribution lists, receive/distribute data deliverables, and ensure complete archival practices.
- Support pre- and post-award contract data reviews and data call preparation.
- Support automated and paper-based documentation systems.
Qualifications
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Minimum Required Qualifications Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
Education: BA/BS degree in a related technical field
Years of Experience: 10+ years of relevant configuration and data management experience, 5+ of which must be within the DoD
Preferred Qualifications Education: Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
Years of Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in CM/DM within a DoD environment
Technical Skills - In-depth knowledge of CM tools for version control, inventory management, and auditing
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Familiarity with government data management platforms and CDRL tracking systems
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience with automated CM tracking and IDEs
Interpersonal Skills - Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in IPT environments
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
