Senior Litigation Attorney - Commercial Litigation
A law firm is seeking a highly skilled Senior Litigation Attorney with over 15 years of experience in commercial litigation to join their team in Uniondale, NY. This role offers an opportunity to work on high-stakes commercial cases in a supportive environment. Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead commercial litigation cases from inception to resolution, including discovery, motions, and trial preparation.
- Provide strategic legal advice to clients for timely and effective dispute resolution.
- Develop case strategies in state and federal courts.
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts, managing documentation and communication.
- Mentor junior attorneys and support staff.
- Handle settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
- Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and trials.
- Stay updated on legal developments in commercial litigation and incorporate new strategies.
Requirements:
- Over 15 years of experience in commercial litigation with a proven track record.
- Extensive experience in all litigation phases.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently.
- Proficiency in litigation management tools and legal research databases.
Education & Certifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission or eligibility for admission to the New York State Bar.
