Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Auto Claims Consultant to join our client's claims team. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving complex commercial auto liability and physical damage claims across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a commitment to superior customer service, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively.

- $100,000 to $120,000+/year total compensation (based on experience)

Responsibilities
- Independently handle a portfolio of complex commercial auto claims from first notice of loss to resolution
- Conduct thorough investigations, including coverage analysis, liability assessment, and damages evaluation
- Communicate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and other stakeholders to gather relevant information and provide updates
- Evaluate medical records, police reports, repair estimates, and other documentation
- Accurately document claim files and maintain proper diary management
- Negotiate settlements within authority limits and escalate appropriately
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, company guidelines, and industry best practices
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior examiners as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of commercial auto claims handling experience
- Strong understanding of commercial auto liability, coverage, and physical damage claims
- Experience with bodily injury and property damage exposures
- Multi-state claims experience is strongly preferred
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office
- Insurance designations (eg, AIC, CPCU) a plus
