As a Sr. Cloud Solutions Architect in Micron Technology's global sales organization, you will be charged with developing deep technical relationships with key Cloud and Enterprise customers.
Account team leadership: - Lead technology strategy for one or more customer-focused virtual account teams.
- Partner with Sales team to develop short and long-term business strategy.
- Partner with field applications engineers to translate technical strategy into product qualification success.
- Deeply understand the business and technical requirements of assigned accounts
- Ability to provide system / solution level mentorship, explaining trade-off in performance, cost, and compatibility across Micron portfolio.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate across multiple subject areas, geographies, and cultures.
- Collaborate with Ecosystem partner (s) to reveal not-yet-understood opportunities and challenges.
- Understand and influence customer strategy and roadmaps.
Customer technical engagement: - Develop deep technical relationships across assigned partners working towards trusted advisor status.
- Align technology from the entire Micron portfolio and ecosystem partners to tackle currently defined customer challenges.
- Provide Training to Customers, Sales, and internal team members on key technical topics related to memory /storage.
- Work with Cloud customers to resolve the best memory / storage footprint and best system configuration for the specific project.
Multi-functional leadership: - Research, develop, document, and share reusable solution designs
- Evangelize joint customer-Micron solutions across the Micron sales team to facilitate growth for both Micron and assigned customer(s).
- Partner with business units to ensure that the voice of the customer influences product and solutions roadmaps; work with corporate and BU marketing to improve the global impact of solutions.
- Provide thought leadership; keep up with industry trends; influence strategy based on understanding of ecosystem and market.
- Act as the primary technical guide within assigned partners and customer(s) for future, emerging, and next-generation products and solutions.
Qualifications and Education: - Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field of study (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years customer-facing presales engineering (systems engineering, solutions architecture) or field applications engineering with a strong focus on solutions.
- Familiar with Taiwan PC & server ODM industry
- Track-record of building trust and earning influence in critical customer relationships.
- Ability to define architecture and account strategy and align solutions to the overall Micron direction.
- Experience working with world's largest Internet companies.
- Systems experience, which could include:
- Server Systems hardware architecture, design, test, and troubleshooting
- DRAM / SSD architecture in systems / solutions
- Data Center Server Management
- Excellent presentation, communications, and interpersonal skills.
- Have excellent English skills, both oral and written.
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$204,000.00 - $346,000.00
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
