Cloud Operations Engineer to enhance our infrastructure and drive automation, monitoring, and security across our cloud environments. This is a contract opportunity for 6+ months.
Job Overview As a
Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for
designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on
Azure and Azure Services while ensuring
FedRAMP and GCC High compliance. You will play a critical role in
automating deployments, improving observability, and enhancing security in a
highly available SaaS platform. This role requires expertise in
Infrastructure as Code (IaC), monitoring, security, and container orchestration.
Key Responsibilities - Cloud Infrastructure & Automation: Design, deploy, and manage cloud environments using Azure, Terraform, and Ansible. Ensure compliance with FedRAMP and GCC High security standards.
- Monitoring & Reliability: Implement and maintain monitoring solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, and other observability tools to improve system reliability and performance.
- Security & Compliance: Strengthen security posture through best practices, vulnerability management, and compliance enforcement for a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Database Management: Administer and optimize SQL Server in cloud environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Multi-Cloud Operations: Support operations in a multi-cloud setup, ensuring interoperability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Act as an escalation point for cloud infrastructure issues, working to resolve incidents quickly and efficiently.
- Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps, Security, and Development teams to optimize cloud architecture and streamline CI/CD pipelines.
Required Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, site reliability, or cloud operations roles.
- Expertise in Azure and Azure Services, with experience in FedRAMP and GCC High compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Solid understanding of SQL Server in cloud environments.
- Strong background in security best practices for cloud operations, including compliance frameworks.
- Experience working in a multi-tenant, multi-cloud SaaS environment.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud in addition to Azure.
- Knowledge of zero-trust security models and cloud governance.
