Credence is seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join our Cloud Managed Services Practice. This position will provide an opportunity to work with an experienced team of Cloud Engineers, Solutions Architects, and Cybersecurity professionals. The candidate will have the opportunity to grow their career in the Cloud space by honing their cloud knowledge and skillset. This position is based in Credence's corporate headquarters located in Tyson's Corner in Vienna, VA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below
    Administration of Layer 3 and Layer 7 firewalls, operating system, encryption tunnels, VPN, day-to- operations of firewall rule sets
  • Engineer security solutions and standards based on requirements, best practices, and technical knowledge
  • Participate in network security planning and network engineering activities
  • Perform implementations of plans assigned, such as, system builds, test plans, documentation, and training
  • Implement and deploy data and network security projects, Change Management, ongoing maintenance activities, and network engineering support
  • Enforce network security strategies and procedures
  • Configure firewall rules, IPs, routing, and VPNs
  • Execute tasks based on service requests and document changes
  • Perform a wide range of system administration duties on core infrastructure, application, database, and other servers, including engineering, installation, break/fix troubleshooting, data protection and optimization
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Education, Requirements and Qualifications
  • Must be clearable for DoD Public Trust or higher
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • A minimum of five (5) years related technical work experience is required
  • Ability to work and produce results in an agile and fast-paced environment with dynamic deadlines.
  • Familiarity with basic cloud concepts (EC2/VM, service based databses, Infrastructure as code, Virtual Networking, etc.)
  • Good understanding of the Linux operating system
  • Familiarity with common protocols including but not limited to: DNS, SMTP, HTTP(s), SFTP, SCP
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, OCI, GCP, Azure, Private Clouds etc.)
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and/or other LDAP based solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills
Nice to Have:
  • Familiarity with Palo Alto virtual firewalls
  • Familiarity with BigIP F5 virtual firewalls
  • AWS Associate or Specialty Level Certification
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
