The Opportunity: We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in AWS (especially EKS), observability, and monitoring tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure and observability pipelines in cloud environments. You will play a key role as a senior member of an Agile team, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high performance, reliability, and visibility into critical systems.

Key Responsibilities: - Configure, administer, and optimize EKS clusters within AWS.
- Implement and maintain observability and monitoring solutions using DataDog, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, and other tools.
- Develop and deploy Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Design and maintain Helm charts for Kubernetes application deployments.
- Write and maintain robust automation scripts using Python and Shell scripting.
- Architect and build observability pipelines for AWS services such as EKS, SQS, and more.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation including ADRs and runbooks.
- Support Agile development efforts by prioritizing and implementing technical requirements based on product owner input and evolving business needs.
Required Skills: - Extensive experience with AWS, especially in managing and securing EKS clusters.
- Strong background in observability tools and practices, including DataDog, OpenTelemetry, and CloudWatch.
- Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Proficient in Helm Charts, Kubernetes, Linux/UNIX, and Windows environments.
- Strong scripting skills in Shell and Python.
- Familiarity with Git (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket, SVN).
- Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts (compute, storage, networking).
- Experience with distributed systems and infrastructure architecture.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
