We're Hiring. Cloud Engineer/ Architect - Azure

Location: Chicago, IL - 3 days hybrid

Long Term Contract (W2/ C2C)

Are you a seasoned Cloud Engineer with a passion for building secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud infrastructure? Join our direct client's team as we build a next-generation Security Master System and shape the future of our cloud capabilities.

We're looking for a cloud-savvy engineer who brings deep Azure expertise, infrastructure as code mastery, and a solid understanding of modern DevOps practices. You'll be part of a dynamic team, driving innovation while ensuring the highest standards for performance, reliability, and security.


What You'll Do

  • Architect and implement robust, scalable Azure-based cloud solutions
  • Collaborate with teams to define and implement optimized networking strategies
  • Deploy and manage containerized apps using Kubernetes (AKS) and Docker
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and GitLab Runners
  • Implement zero-downtime deployment strategies to keep services seamless
  • Design and test Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions to support business continuity
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and fine-tune infrastructure for performance, cost, and security
  • Work closely with security teams to align with enterprise-grade security standards
  • Stay current with evolving cloud and DevOps technologies

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5-8 years in Cloud Engineering or similar roles
  • Deep experience with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Solid networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, VPC
  • Kubernetes (AKS) and Docker containerization experience
  • Proven hands-on experience with Terraform (IaC)
  • CI/CD expertise with GitHub Actions and/or GitLab Runners
  • Experience with zero downtime deployments
  • Track record in disaster recovery planning and execution
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with security teams to address advanced cloud security requirements
