Job Purpose:
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to join our Order Management System (OMS) Platform team. This role will focus on automating platform capabilities, including cloud account management, network connectivity, and infrastructure builds. The Senior Cloud Engineer will contribute to the optimization of costs and cybersecurity efforts, ensuring high levels of security, reliability, and efficiency in cloud infrastructure. You will play a key leadership role within the Cloud Infrastructure team, helping to drive platform-level change and promote continuous improvement in cloud operations.

Requirements
  • Cloud Infrastructure Development: Work with architects and contribute to AWS cloud infrastructure roadmaps, IaC pipelines, security, and reliability for multiple environments.
  • Platform Automation: Automate cloud platform capabilities, such as cloud account management, landing zones, network connectivity, and infrastructure builds.
  • Cost Optimization: Contribute to cost optimization efforts and ensure efficient use of cloud resources.
  • Cybersecurity: Contribute to cybersecurity initiatives to ensure compliance with security best practices and standards.
  • Research & Development: Conduct research to aid in product development and tool selection for platform automation and security strategies.
  • Technical Leadership: Articulate the technical functionality of cloud platforms to diverse technical audiences and provide thought leadership on the design and operation of high-performance, reliable, and sustainable systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, team engineers, and architects to align cloud infrastructure with product requirements and business needs.
  • Production Readiness: Take production readiness and performance seriously, continuously striving for improvements in efficiency, security, and reliability.
  • On-Call Support: Provide limited on-call support as needed for production releases and issue resolution.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Actively monitor key metrics, report on trends, and recommend improvement initiatives.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in Engineering Community of Practice to share insights and stay updated with best practices in cloud infrastructure.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience working in cloud engineering, particularly with AWS.
    • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and building CI/CD pipelines.
    • Strong experience in cloud automation, security, and cost optimization.
    • Proficiency with cloud networking, cloud account management, and cloud infrastructure tools.
    • Familiarity with cloud security best practices, including IAM, VPC, KMS, etc.
  • Technical Skills:
    • AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, etc.).
    • Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform for infrastructure management and orchestration.
    • CI/CD tools such as Jenkins for automated deployment and infrastructure management.
    • Strong understanding of cloud monitoring and debugging tools like Dynatrace and CloudWatch.
    • Networking knowledge, including LAN/WAN, VPNs, and firewalls.
    • Familiarity with SRE principles to ensure platform reliability and scalability.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
    • Collaboration: Excellent communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
    • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues.
    • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
