The team

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Architect with a deep understanding of Azure services, cloud governance, and security frameworks to join our Cloud Engineering practice.

The role
  • Design and implement complex cloud architectures in Azure, utilizing core services such as Azure AD, Azure Virtual Network, ExpressRoute, Storage Accounts, and Application Gateway to build secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions.
  • Lead the implementation of cloud governance frameworks, utilizing tools like Azure Policy, Azure Blueprints, and Management Groups to ensure best practices and compliance across Azure environments.
  • Architect Azure Landing Zones in alignment with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), ensuring consistency and security across cloud environments.
  • Define and implement networking, identity management, and security frameworks, including Azure AD, Conditional Access, and Azure Security Center, to safeguard applications and data.
  • Implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) strategies to ensure uptime and resilience in cloud architectures.
  • Leverage ARM templates, Bicep, and Terraform to automate cloud resource provisioning, ensuring repeatable, scalable, and efficient deployments.
  • Ensure compliance with standards like GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001, and implement the necessary security controls in Azure environments.
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions using tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to ensure system health, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security teams, to drive alignment and ensure the successful delivery of cloud solutions.
  • Lead and mentor teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring the application of best practices in cloud architecture and security.
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend cost optimization strategies, ensuring that the Azure environment is both efficient and cost-effective.
  • Drive strategic initiatives, working closely with senior leadership to define cloud architecture standards and future roadmaps.
What you'll bring
  • In-depth knowledge of core Azure services, including Azure AD, Azure Virtual Network, ExpressRoute, Storage Accounts, and Application Gateway.
    Strong experience with cloud governance tools like Azure Policy, Blueprints, and Management Groups.
    Proficiency in designing Azure Landing Zones following the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
    Expertise in setting up networking, identity, security, and compliance frameworks.
    Minimum of 8+ year experience in a security engineering role, with experience in network security, application security, and security frameworks.
    Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
    Advanced experience with ARM templates, Bicep, and Terraform for automating cloud resource provisioning.
    Expertise in identity management (Azure AD, Conditional Access) and security services like Azure Security Center and Defender for Cloud.
    Familiarity with compliance standards like GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and their implementation in Azure.
    Experience with monitoring and logging solutions, including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
    Strong understanding of high availability, disaster recovery (HA/DR), and cost optimization strategies.
    Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive alignment in Agile environments.
  • Must be US Citizen
As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: $150k-$160k base+ Bonus+ Benefits. The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Digital Service's bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
