An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior fellow at St Michael's Hospital, University Hospitals Bristol & Weston NHS Foundation Trust, with opportunities to specialise in any of the above areas.

This is a 12-month fixed term month post, but may be extendable by mutual agreement and on satisfactory performance. This post is due to start in August 2025 but this may be negotiable.

St Michael's Hospital is part of a large teaching hospital closely linked with the University of Bristol. The post-holder will work within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department and have special interest sessions in their chosen area and will be supported by the friendly and cohesive consultant team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to contribute to the full shift resident on-call rota (3rd on call), including Obstetrics and Emergency Gynaecology Cover.

Annual leave and study leave are covered prospectively. As a valued member of the team you will be included in the educational and training activities of the unit and encouraged to contribute to the teaching of nurses, midwives and other junior doctors.

This post is ideal for those wishing to consolidate their special interest skills prior to a consultant appointment, and will include regular clinical specialist sessions as well as MDT meetings as appropriate.
