Job Description Mission-driven. Not-for-profit. These are just two reasons SAIF is not your typical insurance company. So, naturally, this is not your typical analyst position.
As our new senior claims data analyst, you'll be performing high-level analytical functions that have a huge impact on the success of our claims division.
You will work with business partners throughout the organization-including internal audit, finance, actuary, underwriting, and policyholder services -to make data-based decisions around our products and services, utilization trends, and our customer experience.
Working individually and with business partners, you'll create and maintain existing reports, build forecasts, and develop analysis to leverage data in new ways. You'll extrapolate data to help drive decisions and create visuals to share with others. You'll also need demonstrated knowledge of statistical processes and techniques.
Strong skills with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, are so crucial that we require them. The same is true for being able to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical audiences. Strong SAS or other analytical tool experience is critical. Above all, a passion for data and analysis is a must.
The selected candidate will need to reside in Oregon and could work remotely from their home office. There may be occasional travel to our headquarters in Salem.
