We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and motivated Senior Civil Litigation Attorney to join our prestigious law firm. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, with a focus on Plaintiff's Personal Injury. With a minimum of five years of experience, and at least one year in personal injury, you will have the chance to work in a challenging, stimulating, and rewarding environment where you can make a significant impact.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Civil Litigation Attorney, your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of activities. These include:
1. Managing a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters, with a particular emphasis on Plaintiff's Personal Injury.
2. Drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, and conducting discovery.
3. Representing clients in court, at settlement conferences, and in mediation or arbitration proceedings.
4. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients.
5. Providing sound legal advice to clients, explaining complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
6. Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure the efficient and effective management of cases.
7. Staying up-to-date with changes in the law and legal industry, and applying this knowledge to your work.
8. Upholding the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
1. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar of Texas
3. A minimum of five years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on Plaintiff's Personal Injury.
4. Excellent litigation skills, including experience in drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and representing clients in court.
5. Strong negotiation skills, with a proven track record of achieving favorable settlements for clients.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. A strong commitment to client service, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
10. The ability to manage a large caseload and multiple priorities, while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
11. A commitment to continuing professional development and learning.
12. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
