This is a pivotal role for a technically strong engineer with a deep understanding of site development and civil design across diverse project types. The ideal candidate is a licensed PE with multi-state credentials, excels in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and is eager to lead technical projects and support team-wide process improvements. Key Responsibilities: Lead technical design and oversight of civil site development projects across commercial, municipal, federal, healthcare, retail, and industrial sectors Provide design direction, mentorship, and quality assurance for designers and technicians Assist with development and standardization of QA/QC processes, design workflows, and Civil 3D production templates Participate in proposal development, including scope, estimating fees, and design strategy Conduct feasibility studies, prepare design narratives, calculations, and formal engineering reports Attend client and municipal meetings, document decisions, and lead technical discussions Review geotechnical reports, surveys, and specifications for design integration Respond to construction RFIs and provide site observation reports Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary in-house and remote teams to ensure project cohesion and timely delivery Travel as needed to project sites for documentation and coordination Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (required); Master's degree preferred Professional Engineer (PE) license in multiple states (required) 5 10 years of hands-on civil design experience, with leadership responsibilities Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D Strong communication skills both written and verbal Familiarity with industry standards for civil illustration and Federal Facility Criteria (Whole Building Design Guide) Ability to estimate fees, write technical proposals, and interact professionally with clients Willingness and ability to travel regionally and nationally for project-related needs Preferred Attributes: Passion for mentoring and developing team members Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving Experience leading large, multi-discipline design projects Knowledge of local and national codes, permitting, and site development trends This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a civil design leader within a collaborative, growth-minded engineering environment.
