Description Markon is seeking a Senior Citrix Engineer to support our Virginia customer in Herndon, VA. Responsibilities The ideal Senior Citrix Engineer will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following tasks: Maintain, configure, and manage Citrix NetScaler appliances (SDX, MPX, VPX) for a mission-critical government program.
Implement load balancing solutions and monitor traffic distribution.
Troubleshoot and resolve network and Citrix-related issues.
Architect and design Citrix Gateway solutions and Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB).
Manage NetScaler policies, including responder and rewrite functions.
Monitor and optimize XenDesktop user experiences across enterprise environments.
Collaborate with network teams to design and install NetScaler solutions involving VLANs, subnetting, and LACP configurations.
Support Citrix Virtual Applications and Desktops on platforms such as Hyper-V, Nutanix, and VMware.
Manage pooled licensing and NetScaler administration through the console.
Develop custom HTML pages for customer portals as needed. Qualifications Required: Active TS/SCI with a Lifestyle Polygraph (preferrably from this client)
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
At least eleven (11) years of overall IT experience.
At least one (1) year of experience configuring NetScaler.
Experience with Citrix environments.
Experience with load balancing configurations and operations.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve networking issues.
Desired: Master's degree in programming, computer science, networking, or a related field.
Certifications in NetScaler, Citrix, and Networking.
Experience with: NetScaler SDX, MPX, and VPX
Citrix Gateway architecture and design
GSLB and advanced load balancing techniques
NetScaler Console and management tools
Pooled Licensing and XenDesktop user experience monitoring
VLANs, subnetting, and LACP
Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops on Hyper-V, Nutanix, and VMware

Custom HTML page development for end-user portals Salary Range USD $180,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.
