Senior Center Director
Milford Township
Milford Township is seeking an experienced Senior Center Director. The Township is seeking a leader who can plan, organize, and implement educational and social programs to meet the needs and interest of the senior adult residents in the community. Candidate must have five or more years of experience in senior center programming, special events planning or a related field; knowledge of marketing and fundraising, excellent interpersonal skills, including responding diplomatically to questions and complaints and an interest in the senior community; Open to building and maintaining relationships with community organizations, government agencies or other senior services providers. Preference given to applicants with experience in creation and production of newsletters, flyers, and promotional materials. Pay range $52,000.00 - $66,000.00.
Responsibilities and skills include but are not limited to strong written and oral communications. Experienced in the use of office equipment and technology, including computers and software and the ability to master modern technologies. Experience with hiring, training, and staff supervision. Must display an aptitude for maintaining and evaluation of operational and financial records. A high school diploma is required, and an associate degree is preferred, and applicant must be willing to obtain Senior Center Director Certification. An interest in local government is preferred. The position is full-time, 37.5 hours per week. The benefits package includes health care, dental, vision, pension, and PTO.
