Job Description
As the Senior Category Manager you will,
- Design and implement a category strategy with the support of a team
- As part of the strategy, review the incumbent supply base (relationships & performance) to ensure key metrics are aligned
- Conduct market analysis to gain industry knowledge and leverage negotiation strategies.
- Assess, manage and mitigate risks related to supply contracts and agreements.
- Oversee a team of procurement professionals, encouraging their development and success.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and performance in the supply chain.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure business goals are met.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Category Manager should have:
- Proven track record within a similar role at a Global level, ideally with large spend portfolios (£100M+)
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage team performance effectively (building engagement and capability)
- Knowledge of key supply markets, ideally Castings, Machining, or Electronics
- Able to effectively communicate, positively influencing stakeholders, and landing benefits into the operating sites
