A financial institution is seeking a C&I Underwriter to evaluate and structure commercial and industrial (C&I) loan transactions. This role is responsible for underwriting new credit opportunities, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring sound risk assessment while supporting portfolio growth and profitability.

Description
Key Responsibilities:
Underwrite C&I loan applications, analyzing financial statements and cash flow projections.
Assess borrower creditworthiness, industry risks, and collateral quality to inform lending decisions.
Structure loan terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with credit policy and risk appetite.
Prepare detailed credit memos and present recommendations to approval committees.
Work closely with relationship managers to support transaction execution and client engagement.
Monitor portfolio performance, identifying early warning signs and recommending risk mitigation strategies.
Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal lending policies.
Profile
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in C&I underwriting within banking or financial services.
Expertise in financial analysis, credit structuring, and risk assessment.
Strong knowledge of loan documentation, collateral evaluation, and industry trends.
Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple transactions and collaborate across teams.
Job Offer
$135,000 to $165,000 base salary.
