We are seeking an experienced Senior Merchandiser for NSW Footwear to oversee and manage a growing and profitable business within the North American marketplace. This is a role with a focus on driving strategic growth and success across a diverse portfolio of footwear products. You will collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams (including Planning, Account Merchandising, Marketing, and Sales) to develop and execute a consumer-focused merchandising strategy tailored to the North American geography. This role is ideal for someone with a background in retail or sporting goods and a passion for footwear.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Ownership & Leadership: Own the overall performance of the NSW Footwear business in North America. Develop and execute merchandising strategies that align with consumer needs and preferences across multiple seasons.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with key cross-functional teams (including Planning, Account Merchandising, Marketing, and Sales) to build and sell in consumer-focused assortments.
  • Strategic Vision: Leverage marketplace and consumer knowledge to influence and inform strategic decisions. Navigate ambiguity with courage and develop a clear vision for growth.
  • Team Development: Foster trust, relationships, and a strong team culture. Lead with confidence to drive results and inspire your team through ambiguity and challenges.
  • Market Analysis & Reporting: Regularly assess the marketplace to identify emerging trends, gaps, and opportunities. Ensure business strategies are aligned with consumer demand and market conditions.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making: Utilize problem-solving skills to navigate complex issues, identify opportunities, and propose effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in the retail or sporting goods industry, with a strong focus on Footwear merchandising.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

  • Strong strategic vision with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of the footwear market and consumer behavior in North America.
  • Proven ability to work independently, managing large-scale projects or teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
