The Senior Business Systems Analyst makes an impact by-

Requirements gathering and documentation:
  • Document current business processes using diagrams and written documentation.
  • Gather and document business needs and requirements.
  • Assist business leaders in developing new or improved processes considering process efficiency, segregation of duties, and checks and balances.
  • Mentor team members in business analysis principles, processes, and industry best practices.
  • Identify and document future system and process improvement opportunities.
Testing:
  • Assist users with writing user acceptance test cases and test scripts.
  • Lead and coordinate project user testing.
  • Document and triage system defects identified during testing.
Training:
  • Lead documentation and training efforts for new or modified systems.
  • Mentor team members and business leaders in effective training and documentation practices.
Project Management
  • Follow the SDLC policy to effectively manage projects.
  • Interact with project stakeholders to effectively plan and execute projects from vision to reality.
  • Lead and participate in project meetings and other team functions as part of project processes.
  • Develop requests for proposals (RFP) for external hardware and software.
  • Identify and assess potential vendors and proposals against RFP; manage selection process with project stakeholders and IT leaders.
  • Define and manage project activities, schedules, and resource requirements.
  • Provide leadership and project teams with project status updates.
  • Manage organizational change brought about by information technology projects.
General:
  • Perform all duties within the guidelines of industry best practices and regulations including but not limited to Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in department and cross-functional teams to define and implement process improvements.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in business analysis and business process improvement
  • Strong ERP experience is essential
  • Experience leading business focused project teams
  • Experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment. Experience specific to food and beverage manufacturing or other process manufacturing is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to effectively communicate to all levels within the organization
  • The ability to translate business requirements into strategic IT solutions
  • Data analysis skills and experience with analysis tools such as SQL, SSRS, and Excel is a plus
  • Lean, continuous improvement or PMI certification is a plus
