Program Overview Supports the transformation and modernization of legacy Coast Guard systems and services including mobility, messaging, ITSM, ITAM, Network Infrastructure, and legacy data systems from on premise implementations to cloud and hybrid cloud solutions. New system and service implementations, including zero trust architecture, to provide leading edge systems that are both secure and accessible. About The Role Peraton is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide subject matter expertise for Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. Will provide expertise in requirements gathering, design, coordination, testing and support of customer BI reporting and analytic needs. Will collaborate with business process owners, technical staff and project manager(s) to leverage the use of data and data strategies across a full spectrum of business/operational needs. Provides necessary data elements and business knowledge to support the design and development of data models. Employs data warehouse analysis and design experience, with knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and data modeling. Day-to-Day Work Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of BI dashboards using data analytics and visualization techniques to meet business needs.
Apply data modeling techniques to support dashboard and reporting tool development, ensuring accurate and relevant insights.
Oversee the use of project management tools (e.g., SharePoint) to track and align key initiatives.
Develop and refine metrics and reporting frameworks to deliver actionable insights for business stakeholders.
Collaborate with business process owners, technical teams, and project managers to integrate data strategies across business operations.
Define data requirements with cross-functional teams and integrate them into reporting solutions.
Develop performance management reports and SLA frameworks to track key performance indicators (KPIs). Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering or related field and 8 years experience or high school diploma/equivalent and 12 years relevant experience
Extensive experience in Business Intelligence and analytics reporting, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Proficiency with Business Intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms; experience designing dashboards and reports that effectively track KPIs, SLAs, and other performance metrics.
Proven expertise in performance management reporting, including the design and delivery of SLA reporting frameworks.
Possess one or more of the following certifications: ITIL v3 and/or ITIL 4 Foundation (or have the ability to obtain and maintain), in alignment with the current DESMF framework.
U.S Citizenship required; must have an active Secret clearancePreferred Qualifications: 10 years experience with Financial, Business and/or Technical ExperienceStrong Communication and professional skills - recognized leadership
Demonstrated ability to manage complex and challenging deliverables and reporting
Demonstrated experience interfacing with customer senior leadership and networking at various levels within the organization
Familiarity with DOD IT security requirements
Document Management Experience - ability to create / review formal contractual governmental documents
Quality Management Experience - ability to design quality plans, metrics, and similar
Expertise in Technical and Software areas (IT tools, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Excel/Word/PowerPoint, Analytical Software or Tools, SQL or similar exposure, etc)
IT Process Familiarity (SACM, ITIL, Financial, etc)
Improvement and Quality focused - ability to drive change and improvement across the Account (project management skills)
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range Details Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
