Position: Manager/Senior Manager of Business Development
Location: Remote (WEST COAST)
Travel Requirement: 30%
Reports To: Chief Strategy Officer
Compensation: Base $100,000-$150,000 + Uncapped Performance Incentives
About the Company:
We are partnered with a pre-IPO research-driven organization specializing in early-stage biologics and antibody therapeutics. The team partners with life science companies to help accelerate the path from concept to preclinical candidate through integrated and flexible R&D support.
Role Summary: We're looking for a Business Development Manager with a scientific background to support the commercial/external strategy. This role will focus on identifying partnership opportunities and building relationships across the biotech and pharma lindustry.
What You'll Do:
- Grow revenue through new and existing partnerships
- Lead service sales and client engagement efforts
- Proactively source and pursue partnership opportunities across the biotech sector, particularly in drug discovery
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or marketing; advanced degrees (MBA, MSc) a plus.
- At least 4 years of business development or commercial experience in the biotech services ecosystem, ideally with a focus on CROs or preclinical discovery.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, close, and nurture high-value client engagements.
- Strong strategic thinking and communication skills-comfortable translating scientific concepts into business conversations.
