The Senior Business Development Executive for the AI & Data Solutions group is a dynamic
and diverse role within the US AI & Data Sales Team. As an Senior Business Development
Executive, you will play a key role in driving the revenue and profitability growth of AI & Data
Solutions. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, leading
go-to-market strategies in your region, and supporting clients in the machine learning and AI
space. You'll be a trusted advisor, sharing thought-leadership and valuable industry insights to
prospects and existing clients. Your primary goal will be to generate revenue growth and
increase market share by effectively promoting Telus Digital's service offerings.
You will do this by:
Identifying and researching potential business opportunities through market analysis,
industry trends, and have a deep understanding of clients' AI products and machine
learning initiatives and objectives
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, partners, and
industry influencers
Developing and implementing go-to-market strategies to attract new Strategic Clients and
expand with existing accounts
Generating new leads and opportunities from sales activity, outbound campaigns,
attending conferences and regional organizations, etc.
Preparing and delivering presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients,
showcasing the value of AI & Data Solutions services
Lead negotiations and close deals to achieve revenue targets and other sales
performance metrics
Advocating for your client and be customer focused
Collaborating with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product teams to
align on clients' objectives and exceed clients' expectations
Monitoring and tracking sales performance metrics, and evaluate the effectiveness of your
business development strategies and activities.
Staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities and market trends to
identify new opportunities for growth.
Communicating strategic information such as market intelligence, key customer data,
competitive analysis to internal constituencies
Supporting and ensuring that any, and all reporting requirements are completed and
submitted in the timeframe specified by client
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field
5+ years of experience in business development or technical solutions
Strong understanding of the machine learning and AI industries
Proven track record of success in generating new business
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within Global AI Services, Workforce Solutions, Crowdsourcing
Services/Solutions, and/or "Human in the Loop"
Have proven experience of selling $3M+ contracts in annotation or similar data training
services
Knowledge of Machine Learning fundamentals
Knowledge of business / data analytics
Passion for the tech and AI industries
Combined degree with STEM focus, and/or experience as a solutions architect, is a
nice-to-have
Travel Required:
Up to 40% annually within North America

Pay:
The base compensation range for this position is $132,000 - $165,000 USD commensurate with experience. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
