Senior Business Development Manager (Orlando Market Focus)
Location: Tampa, FL (with primary focus on the Orlando market)
Type: Full-Time Hybrid (4 days in-office/client-facing, 1 day remote)
About the Role
We're seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives in the Orlando market. This position is based out of our Tampa office but centers on expanding our client base and partnerships in Orlando and surrounding areas.
We're also open to considering candidates for a mid-level Business Development Manager position if experience and fit align with that level.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with major commercial contractors, including Turner, Brassfield & Gorrie, Hensel Phelps, Barton Malow, and PCL.
- Develop and execute business development strategies targeting general contractors, architects, and key stakeholders in healthcare and commercial construction.
- Balance sales efforts with operational awareness to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.
- Represent the company in-person through client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
- Travel regularly throughout Florida (primarily Orlando and Tampa), with occasional trips to Miami and Atlanta.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: Strong background in commercial construction. An existing network in the Orlando market is highly preferred. Residential experience may be considered but is not ideal.
- Skill Set: A hybrid of operational understanding and business development acumen.
- Personality: Motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Availability: Comfortable with extensive in-person engagement (4+ days per week).
- Location: Preference for candidates currently based in the Orlando area. Relocation within Florida or the Southeast region may be considered.
