Companies House is transitioning to a service team structure as part of its transformation. Our Business Analysts will play a key role in identifying, analyzing, and delivering requirements for our service teams, working in an Agile environment using the Scrum framework. Due to recent legislative changes, we are experiencing growth and are looking to expand our Business Analysis team.
The Business Analysis team is part of Product Design within the Digital and Technology directorate (DaT). Together with other professions, the analysis team will be part of Service Squads, providing resources to develop systems and processes that enhance service efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Description
The Senior Business Analyst will report to a Lead Business Analyst within their designated service squad.
Responsibilities include ensuring requirements are provided for projects and business improvements, facilitating development of digital services, participating in business refinement processes, and resolving live issues to maintain service continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Applying Agile working principles
- Ensuring processes support user story definition and refinement, supporting Business Analysts in delivery
- Representing analysis during Agile ceremonies such as Sprint planning and reviews
- Collaborating with external scrums when necessary, providing process/system knowledge
- Assessing and defining test coverage, working with colleagues to obtain necessary data and test instances
- Participating in Business Improvement processes, facilitating value scoring sessions, analyzing issues, and producing problem statements
- Managing, investigating, and prioritizing live issues for timely analysis input
- Developing and maintaining business process models, data flows, and system models
- Mentoring Business Analysts and Junior Business Analysts in business modeling
- Documenting changes to services and their impact on digital infrastructure
- Ensuring user requirements are understood and documented, supporting development teams, and maintaining documentation in JIRA and Confluence
- Working with Product Managers to create work packages aligned with strategy and priorities
- Collaborating with technical teams to establish solutions, considering technological impacts and usability
- Building relationships with stakeholders across services and within Digital and Technology
- Supporting organizational objectives through broad service knowledge and participation in communities of practice
- Leading mentoring and development of Business Analysts

Qualifications
BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis (evidence required).
