Senior BI Reporting Analyst As s Senior BI Reporting Analyst, you'll play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights across the organization. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, build and enhance business intelligence tools, and mentor other team members to strengthen BI capabilities across the company.
What You'll Do: - Stakeholder Communication
- Manage and prioritize current BI projects and new reporting requests, providing time estimates as needed.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to refine reporting requirements and determine the most effective presentation of data.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for existing reports and available data for new reporting solutions.
- Business Data Development
- Research data sources to prepare accurate datasets for reporting and assist in developing stored procedures or processes to extract, translate, and aggregate data.
- Design and build new reports or convert legacy reports, using the company's BI tools including: PowerBI, Inetsoft, Microsoft Report Builder, and others as they are adopted.
- Troubleshoot and validate report calculations.
- Manage report organization and user accessibility.
- Automate distribution of reports and data files (i.e. via email or secure file transfer).
- Collaborate with and cross-train BI team members to promote shared knowledge and support.
- Mentor junior analysts or less technical teammates.
- Organizational Development
- Set measurable performance goals and monitor progress.
- Provide regular updates on project status and goal achievement.
What It Takes: - 6+ years of related experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or mentoring role
- Bachelor's degree in related field - or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including sub-queries, aggregation, stored procedures, and data manipulation
- Deep understanding of data translation logic and BI reporting calculations
- Solid business acumen and understanding of general business processes
- Proven ability to troubleshoot data integrity and report logic issues
- Self-starter with a track record of meeting deadlines and driving projects to completion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
