Job Description The Senior Beverage Equipment Service Technician is pivotal in installing, removing, swapping, and disposing of both new and used beverage dispensing equipment, icemakers, and food and beverage coolers for our valued customers. This exciting role involves traveling 75% to 80% of the time in a company-provided vehicle for up to 2 weeks at a time.
This technician is responsible for surveying and assessing customer sites to ensure all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing requirements are met for equipment installations. You will also serve as a key resource for customers, assisting them in resolving any questions, problems, or complaints related to the equipment. As a senior professional in this position, you will have the opportunity to mentor and assist others in problem-solving.
Job Responsibilities - Engage with assigned customers to inform them of upcoming service activities as directed by the Service Manager or General Manager.
- Conduct thorough surveys at customer sites to verify that all utility, space, and weight requirements are met for successful equipment installation.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols during equipment installation and removal.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at customer sites to promote safety and efficiency.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including verification of closing calls, invoicing, asset verification, and any required customer documentation.
- Utilize a company-provided mobile device to accurately record all completed work.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to uphold a strong image of the company and its products.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled service activities, including emergency service calls, preventative maintenance, surveys, and installations.
- Ensure both the service area and company vehicle remain clean and organized.
- Operate the company vehicle safely and comply with all safety guidelines.
- Submit a weekly Driver Report and adhere to Fleet Manual guidelines.
- Complete personal and company-required expense and attendance reports.
- Consistently follow all safety standards and policies established by manufacturers and the company.
Qualifications - Willingness to learn how to operate, maintain, and store beverage dispensing equipment.
- Eager to learn how to connect equipment to water sources, including adding water lines and drainage as necessary.
- Willingness to learn about working with various piping materials, including copper, braided, PVC, and PEX lines.
- Strong command of English, including speaking, reading, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential for success in this role.
- A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required.
This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may also be required.
