Summary: The Senior Benefits Specialist (SBS) is responsible for administering all benefits programs. The SBS must maintain a high level of confidentially throughout their daily tasks. The SBS is the first contact with employees and must act as an advocate to assist employees with understanding their benefits package offered through AIPAC.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicates benefit programs and policy information to employees

• Takes action to resolve issues as they arise, will seek guidance from Manager on escalated issues

• Administers all health-related benefit plans (including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, disability, etc.)

• Provide ongoing support to employees regarding benefits options and enrollment processes.

• Administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork, including Workers Compensation and ADA

• Ensures the accuracy of all benefit enrollments in Ultipro to provide vendors with accurate eligibility

• Assist with Open Enrollment

• Maintain benefits information on BOX and ensure information is up to date and accurate

• Assist with posting benefit related communications on AIPAC Slack channel

• Routinely performs self-regulated audits of benefits information to ensure data integrity

• Documents and maintains internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

• Serves as liaison between vendors and employees and resolves benefits related emails and phone calls with 24 hour turnaround. Enters and processes employee benefit changes in Ultipro

• Reconcile and process vendor invoices.

• Maintains knowledge of every-changing laws, regulations, best practices, and makes recommendations as needed to maintain compliance. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to; ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, DOL, COBRA, FMLA and WC

• Prepares reports from UltiPro Business Intelligence as needed

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field preferred

• 3-5 years' experience working in benefits within an HR department

• Comfortable working in a pro-Israel political environment required

• Experience working with HRIS system

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA best practices

• Exceptional Customer Service

• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, communication and time management skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work to meet deadlines

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required

AIPAC is offering a competitive market base salary between $70,000.00 and $85,000.00 for the position. A job offer within the range will depend on how closely a candidate's skills and experience match the role's requirements. AIPAC also offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package that contributes to employees' overall total compensation package. We currently work remotely two days a week and in our offices the other three. AIPAC is an equal-opportunity employer.
