We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer who is enthusiastic about integrating data with cutting-edge technologies. You will play a crucial role in transforming Capital One as we build and enhance our Real Time Intelligent Collections platform within the Small Business Collections domain.
In this role, you will leverage various AWS features such as Step Functions, AppSync, and Lambda, along with Capital One's proprietary cloud technologies, to create tailored solutions helping our customers manage their debt and regain financial stability.
What You'll Do: - Engage in Agile collaboration to design, develop, test, and support innovative full-stack technical solutions.
- Stay at the forefront of technological advancements, share your knowledge within the engineering community, and mentor your peers.
- Work closely with product managers to deliver scalable cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans to achieve financial independence.
- Utilize programming languages including Java, Python, SQL, Node.js, Go, and Scala, as well as Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, along with container services like Docker and Kubernetes.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not count).
Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.
- 1+ years of experience with a cloud service such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- 3+ years working with open source frameworks.
- 2+ years of experience in Agile methodologies.
This position is not eligible for sponsorship for employment authorization. The salary range for this role is: Richmond, VA - $144,200 - $164,600 for Senior Software Engineer.
