As part of the Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) team, you will play a crucial role in shaping technology practices across Capital One while developing capabilities that demonstrate those practices.
Your Key Responsibilities: - Lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects and guide a team of developers with extensive experience in distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Create innovative solutions to meet regulatory requirements within the organization.
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends, participate in tech communities, and mentor fellow engineers.
- Work closely with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans to achieve their financial goals.
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, along with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, as well as container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes and various AWS services.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree.
- A minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree.
- 7+ years of experience in Java, Python, Apache Camel, SQL, or Go.
- 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud services.
- 4+ years of experience in open-source frameworks.
- 1+ years of people management experience.
- 2+ years in Agile methodologies.
This position is not eligible for sponsorship of employment authorization. The salary range for this role in McLean, VA is $193,400 - $220,700. This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation.
