Our Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) team plays a crucial role in developing Capital One's core platforms and establishing best practices for technology solutions across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a variety of technology projects while managing a team of skilled developers specializing in distributed microservices and full-stack systems to create solutions that fulfill essential regulatory needs.
- Stay at the forefront of technology trends, experiment with new tools, engage in internal and external tech communities, and mentor fellow engineers. Occasionally, you may be asked to code or review code.
- Work closely with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans in their financial journeys.
- Utilize languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, alongside RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, and various AWS services.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree.
- A minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience (excluding internships).
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree.
- 7+ years of experience with languages like Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.
- 2+ years of experience in AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar cloud services.
- 4+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.
- 1+ years of experience in managing people.
- 2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.

The salary range for this position is $193,400 - $220,700 for qualified candidates. This information is specifically for individuals working within the McLean, VA location. Salaries for roles in other locations will vary accordingly.
This role is also eligible for performance-based compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
