In the Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) team, you will contribute to Capital One's core enterprise platforms. We are pivotal in establishing best practices for technology solutions company-wide, while also delivering capabilities that showcase these practices.
What You'll Do: - Work collaboratively across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain technical solutions using full-stack development technologies.
- Stay current with tech trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in tech communities, and mentor fellow engineers.
- Partner with digital product managers to create robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans to achieve financial success.
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, along with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience does not count).
Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following technologies: Java, Scala, Kotlin, DynamoDB.
- 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
- 3+ years of experience with open source frameworks.
- 2+ years of experience in Agile methodologies.

The salary range for this role is as follows: McLean, VA: $158,600 - $181,000; Richmond, VA: $144,200 - $164,600. This information reflects the salary Capital One is willing to pay at the time of posting and may vary based on location. Role may also include performance-based incentives such as cash bonuses or long-term incentives.
