Hiring a Senior Backend Product Engineer to design and build scalable applications, data acquisition systems, and third-party integrations. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will drive the development of the product roadmap and ensure seamless delivery to end customers. This role requires problem-solving ingenuity, a results-driven mindset, and a focus on long-term success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement complex systems and workflows using Django, Airflow, and AWS technologies.
- Develop secure, scalable REST APIs and automate data acquisition processes.
- Architect and lead big data pipelines using Python, PostgreSQL, and Spark.
- Own projects end-to-end, ensuring reliable rollouts and continuous improvements.
- Advocate for software best practices and mentor team members.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance user experience and platform consistency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-10 years of experience building complex web applications with Python.
- 3-5+ years working with automated data acquisition, ETL tools, and ML libraries.
- Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL, Amazon Aurora) and exposure to OLAP databases (BigQuery, Clickhouse, Snowflake).
- Experience with Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, and modern infrastructure tools.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and rapid development.
- Deep understanding of software architecture and ability to write high-quality code.
- Experience in fintech, lending, or compliance a plus
