Senior Backend Engineer

Primary Skills: GRAPHQL, Node.JS, RPA / Virtual Browsers, API Design & Integration, Microservices & Cloud Contract Type: W2 Only Duration: 3+ month contract (Possible Extension) Location: San Francisco, CA Pay Range: $90 to $100 per hour on W2 Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Backend Engineer to join our team as a Computer Scientist (Level 3/4) to drive the development of an innovative agentic automation framework capable of transforming conversational insights into optimized workflows. This role entails creating a scalable, reliable automation framework that dynamically integrates with LLMs, APIs, and RPA tools to automate complex sequences of tasks derived from natural language inputs. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the automation landscape by architecting a system designed for extensibility, performance, and security, ensuring seamless operation and exceptional user experiences. Key Responsibilities: Engineer a scalable backend automation framework to translate conversational commands into executable tasks using microservices and RPA. Collaborate with AI teams for LLM integration, ensuring intuitive task extraction and automation planning. Design the system for modular extensibility to easily incorporate new services or APIs. Optimize system performance for high availability and low latency in LLM-driven services. Coordinate API and RPA tasks while enforcing data security and compliance standards. Must-Have Skills: Expertise in backend development with languages such as Python. Proficiency in RPA, virtual machines, or similar automation tools. Strong experience with API design and integration, including REST and GraphQL. Industry Experience: Extensive experience in building large-scale, distributed backend systems, preferably involving agentic frameworks and conversational AI.
