We are looking for a skilled Back End Software Engineer to lead critical technology projects and guide a talented team of developers adept in distributed microservices and full stack systems. Your Responsibilities: - Lead and oversee multiple technology projects and manage a team of developers.
- Collaborate closely with digital product managers to design and implement robust cloud-based solutions that enhance financial empowerment for millions of Americans.
- Engage with the latest tech trends and contribute to technology communities, while mentoring peers and occasionally participating in coding activities.
Key Technologies You'll Use: - Programming languages: Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala.
- Database technologies: Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
- Container orchestration services: Docker and Kubernetes.
- AWS tools and services.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree.
- 7+ years of experience in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.
- 4+ years of experience in developing software using Functional Programming.
- 2+ years of experience with cloud service platforms.
- 4+ years working with open source frameworks.
- 1+ years in a people management role.
- 2+ years of experience in Agile methodologies.
This role will be located in McLean, VA or Richmond, VA with a salary range of $193,400 - $220,700 for McLean and $175,800 - $200,700 for Richmond. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to earn performance-based incentives, including cash bonuses and long-term incentives.
