As a Senior Back End Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving transformative projects and technological advancements at our company.
What You'll Be Doing: - Lead and manage a diverse set of technology projects, guiding a team of developers with expertise in distributed microservices and full-stack systems to deliver impactful solutions that meet regulatory requirements.
- Share your enthusiasm for technology by staying up-to-date with trends, experimenting with new tools, engaging with tech communities, and mentoring fellow engineers, while occasionally evaluating or contributing code.
- Work closely with digital product managers to build robust cloud-based solutions that enhance the financial empowerment of millions across the nation.
- Utilize a variety of programming languages, such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, as well as Open Source RDBMS, NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and various AWS services.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply).
- A minimum of 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree.
- 7+ years of experience in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.
- 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- 4+ years of experience using open source frameworks.
- 1+ years of experience in people management.
- 2+ years of experience applying Agile methodologies.

The salary range for this role is as follows: McLean, VA: $193,400 - $220,700; Plano, TX: $175,800 - $200,700; Richmond, VA: $175,800 - $200,700. Actual salaries may vary based on location and individual qualifications.
This role is also eligible for performance-based incentives, including bonuses and long-term incentives.
