In our Emerging Payments team, you'll focus on developing cutting-edge solutions in digital payments, enhancing customer experiences with products like Virtual Cards and Digital Wallets. As a member of the team, you will:
- Lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects involving distributed microservices and full stack systems.
- Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of customers.
- Engage with emerging technologies and encourage best practices within the engineering community.
- Design, develop, and maintain features for Capital One's award-winning customer servicing application, EASE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala.
- Work with open source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, along with container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Leverage a variety of AWS services to build scalable solutions.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience
- At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree
- 7+ years of experience in languages like Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js
- 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud services
- 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- 1+ years of people management experience
- 2+ years in Agile practices
This role is based in McLean, VA, and offers a competitive salary ranging from $193,400 to $220,700, with potential performance-based incentives. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package to support your total well-being.
