Our Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) team is critical to Capital One. We establish best practices for developing technology solutions across the organization while delivering key capabilities that reflect those practices.
What You'll Do: - Lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects and mentor a team of skilled developers experienced in distributed microservices and full-stack systems, developing solutions that address the company's regulatory requirements.
- Embrace your enthusiasm for emerging technology trends; engage in continuous learning, community involvement, and mentorship within the engineering community. You'll also occasionally be involved in coding and code evaluations.
- Work closely with digital product managers to deliver robust, cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans to achieve financial independence.
- Utilize a range of programming languages, including Java, Python, SQL, Node.js, Go, and Scala, along with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services (like Docker and Kubernetes), and a variety of AWS tools and services.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience (internships do not count)
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing services (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree
- 9+ years of experience in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js
- 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- 4+ years of experience with open source frameworks
- 1+ years of team leadership experience
- 2+ years of experience in Agile methodologies

The salary range for this role is as follows:
McLean, VA: $225,400 - $257,200
San Francisco, CA: $245,900 - $280,600
