Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) is crucial to Capital One, overseeing many key enterprise platforms. We set standards for building technology solutions across the company while delivering capabilities that reflect these standards.
What You'll Do: - Lead a range of diverse technology initiatives and manage a team of developers experienced in distributed microservices and full-stack systems to create regulatory-compliant solutions for the company.
- Stay ahead of tech trends, engage with new technologies, and contribute to both internal and external tech communities. You will mentor fellow engineers and occasionally evaluate or write code.
- Work collaboratively with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that enhance financial empowerment for millions of Americans.
- Utilize a variety of programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, as well as Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, and a multitude of AWS tools and services.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree.
- A minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience with cloud computing services (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree.
- 7+ years of experience with at least one of the following: JavaScript, NodeJS, Java, API development.
- 3+ years of experience working with AWS.
- 3+ years of experience using one of the following: Postgres, MySQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, OpenSearch, Lambda, and Fargate.
- 2+ years of experience with Enterprise Content Management Systems.
- 2+ years of experience with Enterprise Digital Asset Management.
This role is located in McLean, VA or Richmond, VA. At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization or provide any immigration-related support for this position.
The anticipated annual full-time salary for this position ranges from $193,400 to $220,700 in McLean, VA and from $175,800 to $200,700 in Richmond, VA. Salary offers will be determined based on the candidate's location and experience. This role may also qualify for performance-based incentives that could include cash bonuses and long-term incentives.
