Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) encompasses some of Capital One's crucial enterprise platforms. Our team plays a vital role in establishing best practices for developing technology solutions across the company while delivering capabilities that reflect these practices.
What You'll Do: - Work collaboratively with Agile teams to design, develop, test, and support technical solutions using devops and full-stack development tools and technologies.
- Stay up-to-date with technology trends, experiment with new tools, engage with internal and external tech communities, and mentor fellow engineers.
- Collaborate with product managers to create robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans toward financial well-being.
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, and work with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, and various AWS tools and services.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience does not count).
Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, Go, or Node.js.
- 2+ years of experience with a cloud service like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- 3+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.
- 2+ years of experience utilizing Agile practices.

The salary range for this position is $158,600 - $181,000 for Senior Software Engineers in McLean, VA. Candidates located in other regions will receive a pay range specific to their location, reflected in their offer letter.
This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and long-term incentives that may be discretionary or non-discretionary.
