Our
Gopher-it team is dedicated to revolutionizing solutions for Capital One's U.S. credit card Core Modernization. We are embarking on an exciting journey to enhance our Card Core Platform, creating serverless, highly resilient microservices and advanced features that deliver unparalleled real-time experiences for our premium customers. Our tech stack leverages Generation 3 cloud technology, utilizing the latest serverless patterns and application architectures.
Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies.
- Stay updated on technology trends, engage in new technology experimentation, participate in technology communities, and mentor fellow engineers.
- Work alongside digital product managers to deliver powerful cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans financially.
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, alongside Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree
- A minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience (excluding internships).
Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.
- 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
- 3+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.

The salary range for this role is as follows: Chicago, IL: $144,200 - $164,600 for Principal Associate Senior Software Engineer; $144,200 - $164,600 for Senior Software Engineer. Actual salary will be confirmed in the candidate's offer letter and may vary by location.
This position is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including potential cash bonuses and long-term incentives.
