Senior AWS Windows Engineer Location: San Antonio, TX (Hybrid)

About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows server administration, cloud infrastructure (particularly AWS), and automation. You'll be part of a technical team that supports critical infrastructure operations while driving efficiency through scripting and modern DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide maintenance and support for compute infrastructure, including provisioning, capacity management, and configuration control.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and infrastructure issues, particularly with Dell EMC PowerEdge servers.
• Administer and optimize workloads running in AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Manage Windows Server 2016/2019 environments, applying updates, patches, and maintaining overall system health.
• Automate common operational processes using tools like PowerShell, Terraform, and Ansible/Chef/Puppet.
• Ensure infrastructure meets security and compliance standards through timely updates and vulnerability remediation.
• Participate in performance testing and help identify and address potential system bottlenecks.
• Act as a key resource for service management activities including incident response, change requests, and service tickets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams-both onshore and offshore-to deliver solutions and resolve technical challenges.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for discussions and coordination related to infrastructure components.
Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in Windows Server administration
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, including infrastructure design and deployment
• Proficiency with Terraform, PowerShell, and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
• Strong knowledge of SCCM / MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager)
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and F5 Big-IP load balancers
• Previous experience supporting and managing Dell EMC PowerEdge hardware
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience analyzing system logs and working with vendors when necessary
