The Role

We are seeking a detail-orientated and experienced Senior Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain control systems in a regulated manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation technologies, and a solid understanding of compliance requirements such as GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and ISO standards. This role requires collaboration with cross functional teams to ensure automation solutions meet production, safety, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Work with utilities systems to reduce/optimize water usage.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation systems, including PLC's, HMI's, SCADA, and DCS.
  • Ensure automation systems are compliant with industry regulations (e.g., FDA, GMP, ISO).
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production to support process improvements and troubleshooting.
  • Stay current with automation technologies, industry standards, and regulatory expectations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Automation, or related field.
  • Four to Seven years of experience in automation engineering, preferably in a regulated environment (e.g., Pharmaceuticals or Biotechnology).
  • Proficiency with Siemens Desigo and Rockwell PLC's. EMS, BMS, BAS experience a must.
  • Knowledge of GAMP 5, 12 CFR Part 11, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and Communication skills.

  • Rockwell PLC's
  • EMS, BMS, BAS experience (Rockwell-Siemens)
  • Utilities based efficiency project experience is highly desirable (e.g., carbon, gas, ETC.)
