Job Posting: Senior Automation Engineer III Location: Alpharetta, GA About the Role: Hey Automation Experts. Our client, a well-established team, is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer III to tackle complex projects with innovative solutions. If you're a seasoned pro with a passion for automation and control systems, we want you. You'll be: Leading Projects: Managing multiple projects with complex assignments. Planning & Executing: Assisting in project scope, schedule, and budget creation. Mentoring: Reviewing junior staff work and providing guidance. Managing Independently: Overseeing projects and reporting status to management. Problem-Solving: Applying expertise in hazardous area classification and control panel design. Providing Expertise: Serving as a subject matter expert (SME). Estimating & Scheduling: Creating and managing engineering and design task estimates. Reviewing & Feedback: Providing detailed feedback on engineering drawings and reports. Guiding Design: Ensuring designs are functional, economical, and constructible. Programming: Developing and modifying PLC and HMI programs. Commissioning: Leading commissioning and system cutovers. Troubleshooting: Reading and interpreting drawings for automation system troubleshooting. Providing Support: Offering on-site and remote support for automation systems. Who You Are: You have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. You bring 10+ years of industrial facility engineering and design experience. You have deep knowledge of industry codes and standards. You are a master-level PLC and HMI programmer. You are an expert at cutovers and commissioning. You have great troubleshooting skills. Required Skills: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. 10+ years of engineering and design experience in industrial facilities. In-depth knowledge of industry codes and standards (49 CFR 195, API 1165 & MPMS, API RP 500). Strong PLC Programming Skills (RSLogix5000, GE Proficy Machine Edition, and 2 more platforms). HMI Programming Proficiency (Factory Talk View Studio, Proficy iFIX, and 2 more platforms). Expertise in cutovers and commissioning. Strong understanding of valve types, actuators, and troubleshooting wiring & limit switch settings in field applications. Preferred Qualifications: PE License. Compensation & Benefits: Term: This is a 6-month contract to direct opportunity. Pay Range: $36.00 - $48.00 per hour based on prior experience. Ready to Join Our Team?
