Join our Private Equity client in Philadelphia, PA as Senior Associate supporting all phases of the investment process, including sourcing, financial modeling, due diligence, and deal execution. This in-office opportunity is ideal for a high-performing professional seeking direct exposure to private equity investments, portfolio company oversight, and Investment Committee participation in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities as the Senior Associate:
- Investment Screening: Analyze and assess new investment opportunities across various sectors, identifying key risks and value drivers.
- Due Diligence & Research: Conduct deep qualitative and quantitative diligence using company materials and independent research to evaluate strategic fit.
- Modeling & Analysis: Build and maintain complex financial models, returns analyses, and capital structure scenarios to support deal underwriting.
- Deal Execution: Support transaction execution, including drafting investment memos, negotiating terms, and managing due diligence processes.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Track operating performance, analyze financial reports, and contribute to board meeting preparation and quarterly investor reporting.
Qualifications for the Senior Associate:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field required.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as an Associate in private equity with hands-on exposure to direct investments and deal execution.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in financial modeling, accounting principles, Excel, and PowerPoint, with familiarity in data rooms and transaction software.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical and communication skills with a proactive, collaborative mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Exposure to private equity investing and portfolio management practices, with a strong understanding of capital markets and M&A transactions.
